Premier’s statement on federal election results

Premier Kathy Dunderdale issued a statement Tuesday morning in reaction to the federal election results:

“Newfoundlanders and Labradorians have spoken and elected their Members of Parliament to represent their interests. I extend congratulations to the Prime Minister, to all the successful candidates and to all who offered themselves for election.

“As Premier of this great province, my focus remains unchanged – I will continue to fight to advance the legitimate aspirations of the people of this province and will work with the Federal Government to ensure these aspirations are recognized and respected through definitive action.”
